A symphony of contrasts, the Smoky Hill River Festival is a cultural event with an uptown sensibility, presented in beautiful, historic Oakdale Park in Salina, Kansas.

For 36 years, friends and family from across Kansas and the Midwest have met in Salina at the River Festival to reconnect during the second weekend in June. As part of the Festival’s intriguing ‘mix,’ many international and well-traveled artists and entertainers also take part. The River Festival bursts forth with the color and energy of early Summer, as it unfolds over the 3.5-day weekend. Art vendors and more than 20 special art installations and four stages of live music infuse, but never overpower, the natural surroundings of Oakdale Park.

Artists from all over the United States will descend upon Downtown Petoskey to show off their wares. Again this year, approximately 135 booths will grace Pennsylvania Park, with items ranging from pottery to jewelry, from paintings to photographs, and much more.

Wander through the hostas to find everything from that perfect, one-of-a-kind gift for someone special to that jaw-dropping focal piece for the office. Items range in size from small, intricate pieces of jewelry, to functional wearable art, to that eye-catching conversation piece you’ve always been looking for. You’ll find something for everyone, even if they’re a budding art-lover or a seasoned collector of the fine things in life.

The show is rain or shine, so come prepared to shop. We’ll even help you find a lunch to spoil the artist in you – many of the downtown restaurants have delicious goodies to tempt your tastebuds.
